Mike Bennetts

Mike Bennetts is the CEO of Z Energy – and winner of the Deloitte Top 200 Chief Executive of the Year in 2016. Early on he led the business through a rebrand from Shell NZ in 2011 and more recently the acquisition of Caltex. Today Z Energy has a market cap in excess of NZ$2.7 Billion. Hear the fascinating journey as Paul Spain talks with Mike Bennetts about how he end up leading a part of BP with $40B in revenues before he returned to NZ and ultimately take on the reigns at Z Energy. In addition to be CEO at Z Energy, Mike Bennetts is also the Chairman at Punakaiki Fund which makes long-term investments in high-growth firms.
